Agreement
These terms are between you and Tutorey. Using the app means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
Your account
You need to be eighteen or older to open an account, and the details you give should be true. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in.
What you may use it for
Run your tuition: batches, students, attendance, fees and messages to guardians. Do not use Tutorey to break the law, to store data about people who have nothing to do with your teaching, to send anyone unwanted marketing, or to try to reach another tutor’s records.
Your data belongs to you
You own what you enter. We store and process it so the app can work, and for nothing else. You can export it or delete it whenever you want. If you stop paying, your records are not held hostage — the account drops to the free plan and your data stays reachable.
You are responsible for what you record about your students, and for having the right to record it. See the privacy policy.
Plans and payment
The free plan is free, up to 10 students and one batch. Paid packages are sized by how many students you teach and paid in advance, for a month or a year, at the price shown when you pay. If we change prices we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand, and the change applies from your next payment.
How you pay. On the website you pay with bKash, Nagad or Rocket; we check the payment, and your plan runs for a full month or year from the day you paid. These payments are for a fixed period and do not renew on their own, so there is nothing to cancel — when the period ends you choose whether to pay again. A plan bought in the Android app is a Google Play subscription: it renews until you cancel it in Google Play, and Google’s terms apply to that payment.
We do not refund part of a period, but if something has genuinely gone wrong, write to us — we would rather sort it out than argue.
Nothing is deleted when a paid period ends. Your records stay saved, and paying again brings everything back exactly as it was.
Referrals. Invite another tutor with your code and you earn ৳50 the first time they pay for a plan — once for each tutor you bring, not a share of what they go on to spend. What you earn is held for 45 days so that a refund can be taken back, and after that you can withdraw it to your bKash or Nagad number once your balance reaches ৳200. Refer and earn is offered in Bangladesh only, because those are the only wallets we can send money to. We may end the programme or change the amount, the minimum or the hold with 30 days’ notice, and anything already earned is still yours. Codes are for genuine referrals — creating accounts to pay yourself ends the arrangement.
What Tutorey does not do
We do not take payments for you. Money moves between you and your students or guardians directly — by bKash, Nagad, Rocket, your bank or cash — including payments a student reports from their student page. Tutorey records them and never holds the money. Any dispute about a payment is between you and the payer.
Which messages we send. WhatsApp messages are prepared by Tutorey and sent by you, from your own phone and number. On paid plans, email reminders — and SMS reminders in Bangladesh — are sent by Tutorey for you, to the contact details you entered. You are responsible for having permission to message the people you add.
Availability
We work to keep Tutorey up, but we do not promise it will never be down. Maintenance, a failure at a provider we depend on, or a bug can all interrupt service. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — the app can export it.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm someone, or where we are required to by law. Unless the law prevents us, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data.
Liability
Tutorey is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect loss, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will email you before the change takes effect. Carrying on using Tutorey afterwards means you accept the new version.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction.
