Ask us to delete it: email chat@tutorey.app from the address on your account with the word DELETE in the subject. We do it within 30 days — usually the same day — and confirm by email when it is done.
Before you do: Settings → Export your data downloads your students, fees and attendance as a spreadsheet, and each batch prints its attendance register as a PDF. Deletion cannot be undone.
A button that closes your account from inside the app is being built. Until it is there, the email above is the way, and it is answered by a person.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account:
- Your profile — name, email, phone, district, date of birth, qualification
- Every batch you created
- Every student and guardian record you entered
- All attendance records
- All fee and payment records
- Your sign-in credentials and sessions
This cannot be undone. Export anything you want to keep first — attendance sheets download as PDF from each batch.
Deleting one student instead
You do not have to close your account to remove one person. Open the student, choose Remove student, and confirm. Their attendance history, fee records and place in the batch go with them, immediately.
If a guardian asks you to remove their child’s details, this is the way to do it.
How long it takes
A request by email is completed within 30 days, and usually the same day. Encrypted backups roll on a 30-day cycle, so a copy can survive in one for up to 30 days after your records are removed; nobody reads a backup except to recover from a failure.
What we may keep
Only what the law requires — for example a record of a payment we are obliged to retain for tax purposes. It is kept apart from the app, used for nothing else, and deleted when the obligation ends.
If you signed in with Google or Facebook
Deleting your Tutorey account removes everything above. It does not touch your Google or Facebook account. To disconnect Tutorey from those, remove it from that provider’s own app settings.
Trouble?
Email chat@tutorey.app and a person will answer. If you cannot get into your account, write from any address and tell us the email you signed up with — we will verify another way.
